Perfumer
Mathilde Bijaoui is a perfumer at Mane. She made Like This with Tilda Swinton for Etat Libre d’Orange, and Panettone for Milano Fragranze. She likes to put ingredients you wouldn’t expect into gourmand perfumes.
She got interested in perfumery as a child, after a visit to the Osmothèque, the perfume archive in Versailles. Today she works at Mane, and she has also made perfumes for Etat Libre d’Orange and Lalique. Panettone for Milano Fragranze came out in 2021, a tribute to Milan’s Christmas cake.
She likes trying out the new ingredients Mane develops. Even in a gourmand perfume she doesn’t rely on sugar alone. So Panettone smells of candied fruit, yeast and a warm oven, like a cake still baking. It’s sweet, but not too sweet.
