Coffee perfumes: four fragrances for different tastes

Roasted coffee beans

Freshly brewed coffee, cappuccino and coffee with cinnamon are familiar smells, and each can inspire a perfume. Coffee also works with less expected notes, such as rose, leather or incense.

We have chosen four coffee perfumes. Café Cabanel and Croissant Café recall breakfast, Flower Café pairs coffee with rose, and XXV Marzo adds leather and incense.

Coffee with milk and cinnamon

Teo Cabanel Café Cabanel

Bottle of Teo Cabanel Café Cabanel on the book How to Be Parisian

Café Cabanel opens with coffee, mandarin and cinnamon. Rose and heliotrope accompany milky, buttery notes, while vanilla, tonka and caramel bring sweetness. Sandalwood and musk soften the scent.

It suggests warm coffee with milk and cinnamon, with flowers adding richness. If you enjoy creamy coffee perfumes, try it alongside Croissant Café.

Coffee with leather and incense

Profumo di Firenze XXV Marzo

Bottle of Profumo di Firenze XXV Marzo with candles and old books

In XXV Marzo, rose and spices accompany coffee. Incense, leather, oud and saffron give it a richer, darker scent, softened by sandalwood, musk and vanilla.

XXV Marzo may appeal if you enjoy leather and incense as well as coffee. Those notes matter just as much here, so the result is quite different from a sweet cappuccino scent.

Coffee and rose together

Botanicae Flower Café

Bottle of Botanicae Flower Café on a wooden board

Flower Café combines coffee, rose and fig. Black pepper and clove add a spicy edge, while vanilla, amber and musk bring warmth. Rose and fruit soften the roasted coffee scent.

If you already love rose, coffee may be an interesting addition. Flower Café has more fruity floral sweetness than XXV Marzo, where leather and incense stand out. You will find more floral scents in our guide to rose perfumes.

Roasted coffee in a perfume oil

Versatile Paris Croissant Café

Versatile Paris Croissant Café roll-on perfume oil with a croissant

Croissant Café recalls cappuccino and a French breakfast. Roasted and creamy notes meet tonka and woody accords. The warmth of coffee is paired with the softness of milk.

Croissant Café Roll-On is an alcohol-free perfume oil applied directly to skin. It is worth trying if you enjoy roasted coffee alongside creamy scents.

Choosing a coffee perfume

For coffee with milk, try Café Cabanel and Croissant Café. Flower Café is worth exploring if you enjoy rose, while XXV Marzo offers leather, incense and spice.

Smell your chosen perfume again after a little while. As other notes emerge alongside the coffee, it becomes easier to decide whether you enjoy the whole fragrance.

If you prefer green tea, explore matcha perfumes too. Tea with rice or milk gives a very different impression from roasted coffee.
