Perfumer
Soizic Beaucourt knew at eight that she wanted to make perfume. Today she is a senior perfumer at Eurofragance in Barcelona, and for Neydo she made Breathe Out 01.02, a marine perfume that smells of salt, aromatic herbs and musk.
She took her master’s in perfumery at ISIPCA in 2006. She was drawn to art and literature too, but she loved scent most, so she chose perfumery. She makes perfumes for Europe, Asia and Latin America, and she knows the Middle East and its perfumes especially well.
She plays the violin and looks for ideas in music, food and literature. She likes to see ingredients where they grow, and once trekked alone across South India to visit flower plantations. Breathe Out came from a dream about breathing by the sea. Like every Neydo perfume, its name includes the date of that dream. She made it airy and clean, without the coldness of so many marine perfumes. It smells like the air after a swim in the sea.
