Illustrated portrait of Sébastien Cresp, senior perfumer and partner at Atelier Fragranze Milano

Perfumer

Sébastien Cresp

Sébastien Cresp comes from a well-known perfumery family. He is a senior perfumer and partner at Atelier Fragranze Milano, and for Nissaba and Profumo di Firenze he makes aromatic, green perfumes such as Provence and Plumbeo.

Who is Sébastien Cresp

He is the son of perfumer Olivier Cresp. He spent more than thirteen years at Firmenich before moving to Atelier Fragranze Milano, where he works only for niche houses. For Nissaba he made Provence in 2023, and for Profumo di Firenze he made Plumbeo from the Extrait collection.

Signature style

Cresp loves aromatic and green herbs, and he makes them smell modern. Provence was inspired by the hills around the Durance valley. In it, lavender, clary sage and hyssop smell like wild herbs, not like soap. Even his cooler perfumes have something green about them. Plumbeo is cold and almost metallic, with juniper, iris and violet leaf.
