Illustrated portrait of Patrice Revillard, perfumer and co-founder of the Paris studio Maelstrom

Perfumer

Patrice Revillard

Patrice Revillard came to perfumery through botany. He co-founded the Paris studio Maelstrom, and he made bright perfumes such as Oh La La and Et Voilà for Teo Cabanel. He also works for Maison Violet.

Who is Patrice Revillard

He studied botany first. His interest in plants got him into scent, and then into the École Supérieure du Parfum in Paris. He co-founded the Maelstrom studio with partners in 2017. There he makes perfumes for houses such as Jacques Fath, Panouge, Jovoy, Chabaud, Maison Violet and Teo Cabanel. He has been in perfumery for more than fifteen years and works closely with clients on perfumes, candles and room scents.

Signature style

His Teo Cabanel perfumes are easy to wear. He often uses powdery iris, woody notes and musk in them, and likes to add something unexpected, such as chewing gum, coconut water or rice. For Maison Violet he makes more serious perfumes that are just as soft, like Musc Angélique with musk and angelica.
