Perfumer
Jérôme di Marino lives between Paris and Barcelona and works as a perfumer at Mane. For Room 1015 he has made the sweet, fruity Love-O-Matic and Jasmine Freak, among others.
He was born in the French Alps to an Italian father from Abruzzo and a Savoyard mother. He studied chemistry, graduated from ISIPCA and then trained at Givaudan. After a year at Givenchy he joined Takasago in 2012 as a trainee perfumer beside Francis Kurkdjian. He has also worked for Burberry, Paco Rabanne and Ted Lapidus. Black for Daniel Hechter won him a FiFi award in 2015. He then worked independently for a few years and joined Mane at the end of 2022.
In his perfumes one fruit or flower often stands out, such as strawberry or jasmine. Jasmine Freak, for example, smells strongly and clearly of jasmine. He works very precisely, as you’d expect from someone who learned the trade beside Kurkdjian.
