Perfumer
Elise Pierre is a French perfumer in the Paris office of CPL Aromas. For Fascent she made L’Eau D’or Dort and Milky No Way, a creamy, sweet perfume of hazelnut, milk and tonka.
She grew up in the Normandy countryside, near the sea. At eleven she found out what a perfumer does and knew straight away it was what she wanted. After a chemistry degree she enrolled at ISIPCA in Versailles in 2015. In 2017 she started work at CPL Aromas in England, and two years later she became a perfumer. She calls it the job she dreamt of for years. For HFC Paris she made Narcotic Desire, and she values the free hand that house gives her.
She often uses violet, which reminds her of her childhood garden, along with orange blossom, sandalwood and cedar. She finds ideas in travel and everyday life. She says she likes scents that soothe but still come through clearly. In Narcotic Desire she wanted the apricot to be as soft as peach skin, but still smell natural.
