Perfumer
Elia Chiche came to perfumery from organic chemistry, and today she works at the Paris studio Flair. With her studio colleagues she makes playful perfumes for Versatile Paris that smell of food and drink, such as God Bless Cola and Croissant Café.
She took a degree in organic chemistry at Paris-Sud University and studied perfumery at ISIPCA in Versailles. She gained experience at Givaudan, Symrise and Robertet. Today she works at Flair alongside Anne-Sophie Behaghel and Amélie Bourgeois. Outside perfume she also works in design and on art projects with scent.
The perfumes she has made for Versatile Paris are simple and full of humour. They often remind you of something everyone knows, so God Bless Cola smells of popcorn and cola at the cinema and Croissant Café of croissant and coffee. She makes darker perfumes too. Accrodisiaque, for one, smells of leather and smoke. Its name blends the French accro, meaning hooked, with aphrodisiac.
