Perfumer
Perfumer Dominique Moellhausen was born in Milan in 1992, into a family with German, Dutch and Paraguayan roots. For Milano Fragranze she makes perfumes inspired by Milan, such as Galleria and Derby, and with her sister Michelle she made Cortile.
She has travelled a lot. She decided on perfumery after visiting her sister Michelle, also a perfumer, at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery, and then trained there herself. In 2022 she presented her own collection at Beautyworld Middle East.
Her perfumes are simple and green, and smell of wood and earth. When she makes a perfume about a place in Milan, she looks for what that place really smells like. So Galleria smells faintly of the marble and glass of the old arcade, and Derby is green and smells of grass at the racecourse. Cortile, which she made with her sister, is warmer and more floral.
