Perfumer
Anne-Sophie Behaghel loves natural ingredients. Her perfumes often seem gentle at first and keep changing on the skin for hours. With Amélie Bourgeois she runs the studio Flair Paris, and she works for Versatile Paris, L'Orchestre, Room 1015, Sasva, Calaj and Sora Dora.
Born in Paris in 1978, she first studied chemistry at Pierre and Marie Curie University, then learned perfumery at Cinquième Sens under Monique Schlienger. She spent seven years at Firmenich working for houses such as Dior, Chanel and Givenchy. At Symrise she started working for smaller, independent brands as well. In 2012 she joined Flair, the studio of her friend Amélie Bourgeois, and they’ve run it together ever since. She has also worked for Mendittorosa and Frapin.
Her perfumes vary a lot. For Versatile Paris she makes juicy fruit scents, for L'Orchestre perfumes with leather, incense and vetiver, and for Sora Dora soft gourmands. Now and then she adds an unexpected ingredient, such as the wasabi next to black tea in Culot Thé. Gladiator for Sora Dora is fresh and juicy, and Electric Wood for Room 1015 dry and woody.
